About Southwest Pride, 2008 NW Division Small Chorus Champion from Lawton & Duncan:
Since 1964, the “Barbershoppers” have contributed more than 10 million dollars to various charities. Proceeds from the show continues that long tradition and besides supporting local charities it will contribute to the Barbershop Society's unified service project, in Wichita, KS. “Heart Spring” which is dedicated to dealing with speech handicaps such as cerebral palsy, aphasia, cleft palate and stutter.
Membership Information
Southwest Pride, the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA) chorus from Lawton and Duncan is made up of men of all ages and varying backgrounds that love to sing barbershop harmony. They provide entertainment for audiences and make contributions to several local charities. The chapter meets in Lawton every first, third and fifth Monday, 7:30 pm, First Presbyterian Church. Duncan hosts the chapter meetings on the second and fourth Mondays, First United Methodist Church.
